Bulgaria's Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) Party, a part of the rightist Blue Coalition, will back a no confidence vote against the country's Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov, no matter what formation has called for it.

DSB will offer the Blue Coalition to support a no confidence vote against the centrist-right GERB's minority government, but only if it is called as a result of the Interior Ministry's performance, Ivan Kostov, the party's leader and co-leader of the Blue Coalition, declared Monday, according to the Dnevnik daily.

Besides DSB, the Blue Coalition consists of the Union for Democratic Forces, chaired by MP Martin Dimitrov.

Kostov also stated his party was against the bill aiming at a tougher crackdown against illegally acquired assets, wich was initiated by the ruling party's Judicial Minister Margarita Popova, but was surprisingly killed Friday.

"We support Minister Popova's work, but this was a bad law, rejected even by the independent MPs," the rightist leader stated, referring to the support for GERB on behalf of many "dropout" MPs from other formations, labeled by other parliamentary groups as "suspicious".

The majority in Bulgaria's parliament unexpectedy failed to pass through the bill, initiated by Bulgaria's Justice Minister Margarita Popova and widely touted by the ruling party as a powerful tool in crime and corruption combat.

The law provided for Bulgarian authorities to have the right to seize unexplained wealth, worth more than BGN 150,000, without a conviction as of January 1, 2012.
