Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu met Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov during his official visit to Sofia Thursday.
The Israeli PM and Bulgarian President expressed their satisfaction at what they saw as the "deepening of political dialogue between Bulgaria and Israel," manifested in particular with Thursday's joint sitting of the cabinets of the two friendly nations.
PM Netanyahu spoke of a consensus among political parties in Israel about the need for an ever greater intensification of cooperation with Bulgaria.
Parvanov and Netanyahu further commented on trade relations between the two countries, which have marked a steady growth but according to them have still greater potential.
The areas of agriculture, medicine, education, information technologies and energy were singled out as being especially promising.
The two leaders also discussed the current events in the Middle East, as well as tension in North Africa.
