Young Bulgarian poet and travel writer Dimiter Kenarov, who has been arrested in Mazyr, Belarus on Wednesday, will be extradited after 24 hours, according to information released by his family.

Kenarov, 30, was detained in the Belorussian city of Mozyr together with a US friend of his, both for having no documents, on June 29. It was stated that the Bulgarian poet had lost his documents.

The Bulgarian will be extradited Saturday by a police convoy, according to the most recent information shared by his relatives and based on their contact with the country's Foreign Ministry. The US citizen has reportedly already left Belarus.

Dimiter Kenarov has published for editions such as The Nation, Esquire and Boston Review, the New English Review, among others. In Bulgaria he has two collections of short poetry issued, including the critically acclaimed "Apocryphal Animals".
