Bulgaria Solid Fuels Output Up 1.2% in March m/m

Bulgaria has witnessed a 1.2% monthly increase in the production of solid fuels to 2885 000 tons in March 2011, while the production of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has gone up by 66.7% to 10 000 tons in the same period.

According to data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI), in March 2011 the production of unleaded gasoline goes up by 112.5% to 153 000 tons on the month, diesel fuel adds 97.8% to 184 000 tons and natural gas rises by 28.1% to 41 million standard cubic meters.

The production of electricity in the same period decreases by 2.4% to 4 401 GWh.

The production of solid fuels in March 2011 as compared to March 2010 rises by 26.9%, unleaded gasoline adds 47.1%, diesel fuel goes up by 15.0% and electricity by 10.6%.

Due to the launch in 2010 of natural gas extraction form newly discovered gas fields, in March 2011 the production of the commodity rises from 0.6 to 41 million standard cubic meters.

The production of LPG drops by 9.1% on the year.

Deliveries of LPG in March 2011 as compared to February 2011 spike by 70.6% to 29 000 tons, unleaded gasoline by 76.9% to 46 000 tons, diesel fuel by 130% to 92 000 tons and electricity by 0.6% to 3286 Gwh.

Deliveries of solid fuels drop by 3.8% to 3145 000 tons and natural gas by 3.3% to 348 standard cubic meters on the month.

Deliveries of solid fuels in March 2011 as compared to March 2010 grow by 29.3%, natural gas by 9.1%, and electricity by 5.2%.

Deliveries of LPG drop by 9.4% year-on-year, unleaded gasoline by 13.2% and diesel fuel by 27.6%.
