Simeon Saxe-Coburg, Bulgaria's ex Tsar and ex Prime Minister, has continued beating about the push about his potential run for the Bulgarian Presidency in the elections in the fall.
Saxe-Coburg has thus maintained the mystery around his possible presidential bid, and his favorite for the Presidency, in the event that does not run.
"Thank you for the compliment at my age," Saxe-Coburg replied to a reporter's question about his plans whether he will run for President, as cited by the Cross news agency, thus neither confirming, nor rejecting the reports that his candidature is a matter of discussions between political forces in Bulgaria, including his own party, the National Movement for Stability and Prosperity (NSMP).
Saxe-Coburg has further provided no clear answer if he favors Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, former Chief Interior Ministry Secretary in the Saxe-Coburg Cabinet in 2001-2005, or NMSP member and Bulgaria's ex EU Commissioner Meglena Kuneva for the Presidency, should he himself abstain from running.
"This is a very personal question. You should ask him," the ex Tsar told reporters when asked if he would comment on PM Borisov's potential run for President.
"She has good qualities of a politician, she is a really decent person with much experience. The President is the face of the state before the world," Saxe-Coburg commented on the potential presidential bid of Meglena Kuneva.
"Let us get there," he said bluntly when he was asked who he would support if both Borisov and Kuneva entered the presidential race.
