Winter Tourism: 1.8 Million Visit Bulgaria
Bulgaria has witnessed a bustling winter tourism season, with a total of 1.8 million tourists gracing its picturesque landscapes from December 1 to March 25
The smell of chocolate chip cookies, a staple of the DoubleTree by Hilton, is already greeting the guests at the brand latest destination - the DoubleTree by Hilton Varna – Golden Sands on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast.
Situated between the ancient, protected forests of Golden Sands National Park and the beautiful Black Sea beaches of the popular Golden Sands Resort, the hotel officially launched the spring and summer season with key business and civic leaders.
"DoubleTree by Hilton is truly honoured to introduce the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Varna – Golden Sands, which represents the first global hotel brand in this popular summertime leisure destination," said Rob Palleschi, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.
"We are delighted to open our doors and begin welcoming guests for the 2011 summer season as a DoubleTree by Hilton," Claudio Sturm, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Varna – Golden Sands, said.
As the first global hotel brand to debut on the Bulgarian seaside, the hotel will aim to become one of Eastern Europe's leading leisure destinations for domestic and international travellers.
Occupying a prime elevated position overlooking the Black Sea, the DoubleTree by Hilton Varna – Golden Sands features 196 newly renovated guest rooms and suites with scenic forest and coastal vistas.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Varna – Golden Sands provides guests with direct access to the largest spa and wellness centre on the Bulgarian coastline – the Aphrodite Beauty Spa & Health Centre, a private beach and a beach caf? for beverages and light cuisine, a fitness center and an indoor heated pool.
A babysitting service is offered to give parents a break.
As for dining, the hotel offers Demeter restaurant, the Sun Terrace Caf?, Dionysus ? la carte restaurant, a lobby bar and a Apollo Night Club.
