The Bulgarian conservative Order, Law and Justice (RZS) party will offer Economy and Energy Minister, Traicho Traikov, a job as an expert in case the latter ends up being fired.
The statement comes from a press release, distributed by the party Thursday, saying Traikov proved to be the only man in the cabinet of the ruling, center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party, and the only one having a clear stand in this, in reality, "left-wing, police-mafia government."
"From all Ministers in the Borisov cabinet, Traicho Traikov, is the only one brave enough to oppose not only leftist proposals for market regulation, but two of the emblematic Bulgarian oligarchs from the transition period – Georgi Gergov and Valentin Zlatev. This is the reason why he had been threatened with dismissals on two occasions," the declaration reads.
According to the Conservatives, the scandal, surrounding negotiations and agreements between the Bulgarian National Electric Company (NEK) and the Russian "Atomstroyexport" for the project to build a Nuclear Power Plant, NPP, in the Danube town of Belene in Bulgaria, reaffirms the impression of complete chaos reigning in the cabinet and a cruel and merciless lobbyist battle.
"This fight makes it clear that the CEO of Lukoil Bulgaria, Valentin Zlatev, is the true Prime Minister, ruling the county, while Boyko Borisov is his scarecrow, talking non-sense left and right," RZS declare.
