Facebook and Instagram Down Globally!
The Facebook and Instagram applications are currently experiencing a widespread outage globally, as reported around 5:30 p.m. Bulgarian time
The former Deputy Chair of the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Kasim Dal, who recently resigned, and was later expelled from the party, has gathered support from 4 300 Facebook users.
They are demanding the ousting of all collaborators and agents of the former Communist State Security (DS) from the party's leadership, particularly the party Chair, Ahmed Dogan, and appeal to them to stop harassing the common ethnic Turkish voter.
The administrator of the Facebook group "I Support Kasim Dal" informs that nearly 20 000 Bulgarians have stated their desire to meet Dal, adding due to the limited resource of the group, currently it would be impossible to organize an event of such proportions in Sofia.
Meanwhile, the former member of the DPS Central Council, Prof. Lyudmil Georgiev, said Tuesday, in an interview for the Bulgarian National Television, BNT, that this is the first time ever Dogan's leadership has been shaken.
The Professor explained he left the DPS leadership and the party altogether in November after Dal did not get reelected as DPS Deputy Chair.
Georgiev pointed out he did not feel abused and bitter because it had all been his choice, adding he had joined the Facebook group about a month after it had been created over what he sees as its most sensible message – to clean the party from people with ties to DS.
The Professor points out the best DS project is indeed Dogan because he had read his DS file and found out the party leader had betrayed close friends by reporting them to the Communist authorities.
According to Georgiev, Dogan now has lost 100% the support of Bulgarian ethnic Turks, who emigrated to Turkey, while Dal is valued and respected by both Ankara and Moscow.
