Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry has "recommended insistingly" that Bulgarians leave Japan over "expert" reports that a new strong earthquake is expected there in the coming days.
The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry says that an earthquake with a magnitude of 7 on the Richter scale is likely to jolt Japan without specifying the source of this forecast.
It insists especially that Bulgarians avoid the regions affected most tangibly by the devastating 9.0-earthquake that hit Japan on Friday, and by the ensuing tsunami.
Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry does not plan an organized evacuation of Bulgarians from Japan for the time being, and urges Bulgarians in the country to follow closely the media reports, and the instructions of the Japanese authorities.
It further provides several web sites with flight information for Japan, and advises those traveling to the international airport in Tokyo to use trains, metro, and buses.
