`Continuity and predictability are the two factors on which Bulgaria`s prestige will depend over the next few years`, President Stoyanov said at a meeting Wednesday with Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg, Foreign Minister Solomon Passy and 36 ambassadors while discussing the country`s foreign policy priorities. According to Stoyanov Bulgaria should be among the countries to be invited into NATO in 2002. Bulgaria will host the meeting of the heads of states in the Vilnius group, which will take place in Sofia in October, but it is no guarantee that Bulgaria will be in the second group of NATO`s expansion. `However, it will be a wonderful possibility for Bulgaria to bring all its advantages to the fore`, the President said. Integration with the EU and presenting stands on all the chapters of the negotiations by this year`s end are the other priorities Stoyanov pointed out. The discussions included Bulgaria`s policy in relation to the crisis in Macedonia and the Balkans, as well as the lawsuit in Libya. The meeting focused on Bulgaria`s ambition to head the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and to become non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
