The Bulgarian National Farmers Association will stage a protest Tuesday in front of the building of the Council of Ministers.
For a month, the farmers have organized the protest and have waited for an answer to the declaration they had sent to the Council of Ministers.
The association demands changes in the Income Tax Act, according to which individual farmers have to pay taxes on 40% of their incomes.
The farmers will also demand restoration of the excise duty on fuels and providing of land from municipal and state pastures.
Changes for easier and more transparent procedures for access to EU funds, which could help for the sector's revival, are also among the protesters' demands.
The demonstration will be staged in front of the Council of Ministers and not in front of the Agriculture Ministry because most of the protesters' demands are towards Bulgaria's Finance Minister Simeon Djankov.
