The Bulgarian Foreign Affairs Ministry informs Friday that only nineteen Bulgarian citizens are on board on the Turkish ship "Iskenderun," ready to be evacuated from the second largest Libyan city Benghazi.

The ship has not yet departed for the Turkish port of Marmaris over inclement weather, but it is expected to leave by the end of the day Friday.

The information about the number of Bulgarians has been received by the Bulgarian Embassy in Ankara through the Turkish Foreign Ministry Crisis Center.

A Romanian aircraft has taken 10 Bulgarians to Bucharest while another group has crossed the Libyan-Egyptian border and is on its way to Cairo to be evacuated Friday afternoon to Turkey by a flight of the Turkish airlines, according to Foreign Ministry information.

The number of Bulgarians on "Iskenderun" was reported at 50 Thursday, while earlier Friday, Foreign Minister, Nikolay Mladenov, said they were 100.
