Bulgaria will launch next week its second international promotion campaign as it seeks to be advertised as a year-round tourist destination in Russia and Germany.
The second stage of the promotion campaign will focus on Bulgaria's potential for developing cultural, congressional, spa and sea tourism.
The campaign was launched last year amid high hopes, but the video clips came under fierce criticism for being repetitive, clich?d, without identity and failing to create a clearly recognisable 'Bulgaria' brand.
The funding for the advertising campaign amounts to BGN 7,5 M and is provided through a project under the EU operational program "Regional Development".
The advertising campaign aims at informing more than 608 million households all over the world about the opportunities for holidays in Bulgaria. The ads also focus on the cultural and historical sites in the country and the beautiful nature.
The 30-second ad videos will be aired in the prime times. They are in five languages – Bulgarian, English, German, French and Russian.
