Bulgaria's Parliament's session was delayed Friday, for the second day in a row, over the lack of quorum.

The Speaker of the Parliament, Tsetska Tsacheva, was forced to announce a 15-minute break before work even started.

The leader of the parliamentary group of the ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party, Krasimir Velchev, explained the low attendance with people being on business trips, a round table in the southern city of Blagoevgrad attended by a number of Members of the Parliament, and icy roads.

When asked by a Darik radio reporter why the Parliament lacks quorum for a second day now, Tsacheva replied that media must inquire with the parliamentary groups' leaders.

"My duties involve registering the number of MPS present in plenary hall. I did this. My responsibility ends here," Tsacheva is quoted saying.
