Two MPs were kicked out of the debates for the confidence vote of Bulgarian government Thursday as a result of their behavior.

MP Dragomir Stoynev from the Bulgarian Socialist Party, who is the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Labor and Social Policy, was removed from the plenary hall after he got in a verbal fight with Prime Minister Borisov.

Stoynev shouted that the government must return to the people the BGN 2 B it made from controlling contraband. The Stoynev episode led to a 30 minute break at 11 am, two hours after the start of the debate, in order to cool off the tension in the plenary.

About an hour and a half later, Parliamentary Chair Tsacheva kicked out a second MP, this time Emil Vasilev, a deputy from the marginal conservative party RZS.

Vasilev was removed and banned from the next three plenary meetings because while the debate was going on, he threw a glass of water in the face of another MP, Todor Velikov, who left the RZS party in the fall of 2010. The second incident led to a 5-minute break for the MPs.

Meanwhile, speaking from the floor, Health Minister Stefan Konstantinov joked with the hunger strike one of the RZS MPs declared against the Cabinet.

"Don't go hungry because this leads to increased levels of blood sugar, which makes people evil. If done for a longer period, this also makes people dumber," Konstantinov said, remarking that he was joking.
