The Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office had issued permission for Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, to publically reveal a conversation intercepted through the use of special surveillance devices.

For this reason, Tsvetanov would not be probed, the Bulgarian daily "Sega" (Now) writes Thursday.

In the beginning of last week, the Members of the Parliament from the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) filed a claim with the Prosecutor's Office that the Minister had leaked classified information by reading in the Parliament the transcripts of a taped conversation between four doctors, which led to their arrest.

BSP leader and former Prime Minister, Sergey Stanishev, accused Tsvetanov of becoming the first ever Interior Minister to use special surveillance devices for political benefits, while Tsvetanov's predecessor and now BSP MP, Mihail Mikov, reminded data from such devices should be used only to prevent and halt criminal activities.

The coroner's report about the cause of death of the prematurely-born baby is expected to be ready in about two weeks.
