A serious engine trouble has forced Serbia's Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic to return to Belgrad's airport, thus postponing his visit to the neighboring country of Bulgaria.

This is the first wreck the Serbian government's Learjet has suffered, according to the Serbian radio B92.

Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has reportedly talked to Cvetkovic on the phone, expressing his relief over the plane's successful landing. It is still unclear whether and when they will meet.

Cvetkovic and his Bulgarian counterpart Borisov had scheduled a "tete-a tete" talks, as well as a larger-scale discussion. The talks would probably have been focused on the possible Serbian participation in the building of the Belene Nuclear Power Plant in Bulgaria.

The potential share in Belene of Serbia, which has expressed interest in acquiring a share of 5% to 10%, was not mentioned during the energy conference in Sofia on Tuesday. It remains unclear if Serbia will have a share, and what it will be in percentage terms.

In addition, the two Prime Ministers would officially open the first Serbian Tempo hypermarket in Bulgaria.

The Tempo store is located in "Retail Park Sredets" in Sofia, along with several other chains, on an area of 30 000 square meters. The investment is estimated at BGN 50 M. The store will offer over 60 000 items, including including full lines of groceries and general merchandise. Its parking will have 1 000 parking spaces.
