The tete-a-tete meeting between the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Russia, Boyko Borisov and Vladimir Putin, in Sofia Saturday lasted only 20 minutes.

Despite the brevity of the tete-a-tete talks, the two state leaders are said to have discussed in detail the Bulgarian-Russian energy, transport, and economic projects.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has declared that some of the "joint bilateral projects" have already been realized – such the launch of a ferry line between the Bulgarian Port Varna and Russian Port Kavkaz through the Black Sea.

Putin, however, has underscored the significance of the bilateral energy projects yet to be realized – the South Stream gas transit pipeline, the Belene nuclear power plant, and the Burgaz-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline.

After the tete-a-tete meeting, Borisov and Putin will be holding talks together with their respective state delegations.
