There are about 30 000 Bulgarians working in Cyprus as migrant laborers, according to Stavros Amvrosiu, Ambassador of Cyprus to Bulgaria.

While on a visit in the Black Sea city of Varna on Wednesday, His Excellency said that the Bulgarians in Cyprus work primarily in tourism, construction, and agriculture.

He also pointed out that Cypriots are exhibiting high levels of interest in acquiring real estate properties in Bulgaria, preferring mostly apartments and plots near close to Sofia, Varna, and Plovdiv.

According to Amvrosiu, a rising number of tourists from Cyprus come to Bulgaria.

He underscored the importance of the regular air line between Sofia and Larnaca, and the charter flights between Burgas and Larnaca.
