An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 on the Richter scale was felt all around the Bulgarian capital Sofia Thursday afternoon.

According to Nikolay Miloshev, head of the Geophysical Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the epicenter of the earthquake was right outside of Sofia, to the southeast of the city. No damages or injuries have been reported.

Miloshev said it was still hard to say if there will be aftershocks.

The last earthquake experienced by the Bulgarian capital was on August 27. The 2.8-magnitude quake was felt in the entire city, and its epicenter was 8 km northwest of Sofia.
