John Toshack is expected to submit his resignation for Wales boss on Thursday, but reports say he could remain for at least the next two games against Bulgaria and Switzerland.

Toshack will attend a lunchtime press conference next to FAW president Phil Pritchard, where he will announce he is going just one match into the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.

Toshack, who travelled to Sofia to spy on Bulgaria on Tuesday night, will meet his FAW bosses this morning to discuss the terms and conditions of his departure.

Bulgaria, beaten 4-0 by England at Wembley on Friday, lost 1-0 at home to Montenegro on Tuesday evening. The team visit Wales on October 8 in their next qualifier and the BFU has already began their search for a new coach after the resignation of Stanimir Stoilov.

Wales lost both to England and Poland, and the FAW vowed they would never be put in such a situation again.
