Bulgaria's national football team has come up with a statement appealing to Bulgarian fans for support after the catastrophic 4:0 loss from England at the start of the Euro 2012 qualifications.
In the statement published by the Bulgarian Football Union, the players and coaches of the Bulgarian national football team declare that they "commiserate" with the Bulgarian people after Friday's loss at Wembley in London.
"We are suffering no less that you are," the football players have told the Bulgarian fans.
However, they have also expressed their ambition to improve and perform better after the loss, and have asked the Bulgarians to come to the match against Montenegro in Sofia on Tuesday in order to back them.
"From here, we are setting off on a road on which have no right to make any more mistakes. As in every other ordeal, we need support. Only you, the fans of Bulgarian football, can give it to you. We believe that despite all negativism and terrible criticism that is piled up on us, you will give us positive emotions that will help us win," says the statement.
The national team of Montenegro are arriving in Sofia at noon on Monday, a day before their match with Bulgaria.
Unlike Bulgaria who were defeated by England, Montenegro started their Euro 2012 by beating 1:0 another team in Group G, Wales.
