Cherneva told the Bulgarian National Radio that the 35 are mainly children and wives of employees of the Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow,
On Sunday, 16 people were evacuated from the Embassy. They traveled on the regular Moscow-Sofia flight; the rest will be brought back to Bulgaria by Wednesday. Cherneva reminds that Bulgaria Air flights to and from Moscow are on schedule and all Bulgarians who are in the Russian capital can use them to return home.
The Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow is among the four representations of EU Member States to evacuate their staff, the spokesperson says. The Embassy has about 100 employees. The Ministry had sent 240 protective masks which will be sufficient for them and their families.
According to Cherneva, the situation in Moscow remains hazardous for the health and breathing is difficult, but there is no information about Bulgarians being hurt from the smog. The dangerous haze was created by wildfires, choking the Russian capital for days now.
