A light earthquake with a 1.9 magnitude on the Richter scale was registered on the territory of Bulgaria Monday morning.

The Seismology Center at the Geophysics Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences informs that the earthquake struck at 8:21 am. The epicenter is 250 km southeast of the capital city Sofia.

The tremor was lightly felt at the village of Ovchi kladenec, near the town of Yambol, Southeastern Bulgaria.

There no reports of injuries and material damage.
