The Los Angeles based, leading real estate company, Tishman International, hosted Monday a round table titled: Nuclear Energy, Economy and Market Situation, Perspectives.

The event was held at the international business park Sofia Airport Center.

The Chairman of Tishman International, Alan Levy, said the company invests in the stable image of Bulgaria as a business and trade factor in Eastern Europe and has the responsibility of maintaining a leading role in the region by engaging top global businesses.

The discussion included issues related to the participation of the business and the cabinet in the future development of nuclear energy in the region; realization of energy projects, innovative methods of financing, building and management of nuclear power plants.

Bulgaria's Economy and Energy Minister, Traicho Traikov, representatives of the top management of Technology Transfer Associates, Pillsbury, European Operations and Nuclear International, ABS Consulting, Wolf Theiss, Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Ernst & Young, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and Toshiba were among the participants.

Tishman International designed and manages the SAC Office Center at Sofia Airport Center where the completion of the first building, a Class A, a 17 300 square meters office tower, is upcoming. The Office Center is Bulgaria’s first LEED-certified “green” commercial building, and is expected to achieve LEED “silver” status. The only other LEED-certified building in Bulgaria is the US Embassy in Sofia.
