Bulgaria' President, Georgi Parvanov, met Friday with the Palestinian Labor Minister, Dr. Ahmad Abdul-Salam Hassan Majdalani, the Presidential press office informs.
Parvanov said during the meeting that the intense political dialogue between Bulgaria and Palestine in the last years must lead to better business collaboration through determining priority sectors that would be mutually beneficial.
Madjalani informed the President about the current situation in the Middle East and the Gaza Strip and the desire of the Palestinian government to make progress in negotiations with Israel.
Parvanov voiced support for the peaceful solution of the conflicts in the Region and hope for unity of the Palestinian people, adding humanitarian aid must reach them, but the firing of rockets from Gaza at Israel is unacceptable.
The Bulgarian Head of State confirmed the invitation extended to Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, to visit Sofia in the second half of the year.
