Key figures from the political cabinet of Bulgaria's ousted Health Minister, Bozhidar Nanev, are submitting their resignations, Darik radio reports, citing unnamed sources,

The 3 are: Deputy Health Minister, Valeri Mitrev, who was crucial in the carrying out of the health care reform; Valentina Platikanova – Head of the Medicine Policy Department, and Asen Dudov, Nanev's advisor on medicine policy.

The news about the resignations comes just two days after Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, named Prof. Anna-Maria Borisova the new Health Minister and 10 days after the resignation of Bozhidar Nanev from the post.

Nanev was charged by the Sofia City Prosecutor with concluding two unfavorable for the State deals for the purchase of the anti-viral flu medicine Tamiflu. He denies the charges as unfounded.

Borisova's nomination for Health Minister will be voted by the Parliament next week.

"Is it possible that all three resigned because they were part of the same scheme Bozhidar Nanev was charged with?
Makes more sense than the idea that they gave up cushy jobs because someone else was promoted over them."

Clearly they were offended that this bimbo was brought in out of nowhere and the deputy was passed over. Maybe they knew that this bimbo would replace them eventually anyway, so they pre-emptet her hand by resigning before she had a chance to fire them.

Anyway, they are all doctors, they can go to work in Germany and make a pile of money.

I don't blame them for resigning. The deputy minister should have been promoted to the top job after the minister resigned. Passing him over is a deliberate insult and an idiotic move on Boyko's part. Even though looking at his photo, he does NOT inspire confidence. He looks lacking in personal hygene.

Where did Boyko get that old communist hormone therapist bimbo? Pulled her out of his arse?!?

"Mr. Borisov should select competitive people with ethics."

Where will he find such people in Bulgaria? Ideas on a postcard to B. Borissov, Prime Minister's Office, Sofia. Better give the post office counter clerk something extra to be certain it will be delivered...

As usual, some people went for easy money... Mr. Borisov should select competitive people with ethics. - and pay them well...
