Bulgaria's government may reinstate into office its former Ambassadors to the USA and France.

According to unconfirmed media reports, Bulgaria's Deputy Interior Minister Marin Raykov may be the new Ambassador to Paris; he held this post in 2001-2005.

Elena Poptodorova is likely to become, yet again, Bulgaria's representative in Washington DC – Poptodorova was the Ambassador of Bulgaria to the USA in 2002-2008.

The long-standing diplomat Rakovski Lashev may be appointed ambassador to Macedonia, unconfirmed reports say.

The speaker of Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry, Vesela Cherneva, has refused to reveal any names but made it clear that the candidatures for Paris, Washington DC, and Turkey have already been approved .
