The governments of Bulgaria and Greece are going to come together for a joint sitting, Prime Minister Borisov has confirmed.

The idea for a joint meeting of the cabinets of the two neighboring countries had been discussed earlier but had been confirmed during the EU Council summit in Brussels on Thursday and Friday.

During the summit, Bulgaria’s Borisov met several times with his Greek counterpart George Papandreou in order to discuss further the future joint Cabinet session. However, Borisov has not revealed any details about it such as the date and the location.

After the Eurozone members and the IMF reached an agreement to provide bailout loans if they need to prop up Greece, which is struggling financially, Borisov made it clear he was relieved by this news because of the potential negative effects that a worsening of Greece’s situation could have on Bulgaria.
