Italy coach Marcello Lippi said Group G of the UEFA Euro 2012, which includes Bulgaria, has been handed the most difficult draw.

“I think that England have been handed the most difficult draw,” Lippi told Datasport.

With current World Cup holders Italy drawn with Northern Ireland, Estonia and the Faroe Islands, the coach also commented on the benefit of being in a big group.

“We have the slight ‘advantage’ of being drawn in a group of six,” he added.

He warned about the potential dangers posed by Group C members Serbia and Slovenia.

“It is a balanced group. We find ourselves alongside Serbia and Slovenia, both of whom will be participating at next summer’s World Cup,” declared Lippi to

Bulgaria has been drawn in Group G of the UEFA Euro 2012 competition, in the qualifying draw held on Sunday in the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland.

The five-nation Group G also includes England, Switzerland, Wales and Montenegro, all of whose national teams are highly regarded.
