The Bulgarian Defense Minister, Anyu Angelov, has ordered two planes to be sent to Germany to collect the 4 Bulgarian soldiers, who were injured by a Taliban a rocket attack in Kandahar.

Tsetska Tsacheva, Bulgaria’s Parliament Speaker announced the move on Thursday at the start of a Bulgarian Parliament plenary session.

9 Bulgarian medics will be aboard the two planes, along with specialist medical equipment. The injured rangers are currently in the US military hospital in Landschtul, Germany.

4 Bulgarian rangers were injured on 24 January, 3 of them seriously, by a Taliban rocket attack on the NATO Air Base in Kandahar, Afghanistan, during the visit of Ex Bulgaria Defense Minister, Nikolay Mladenov to the Base.
