Bulgarian Premier Boyko Borisov departs from Sofia on Sunday to make an official two-day visit to Israel at the invitation of his Israeli counterpart Binyamin Netanyahu.

The visit is scheduled for January 11 and 12 and Borisov will be accompanied by a delegation of senior Bulgarian ministers and officials.

The Deputy PM and Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Defense Minister Nikolay Mladenov, Minister of Economy Traicho Traykov, Chief of the Political Cabinet of the Prime Minister Rumyana Bachvarova, General Secretary of the Council of Ministers Rosen Zhelyazkov, will travel to Israel, along with other advisors, parliamentarians, and members of the clergy.

On the first day of the visit, Borisov will meet with his Israeli colleague PM Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigor Liebermann, and later with the Israeli Head of State Shimon Peres, opposition leader Tzipi Livni and spokesman of the Israeli Parliament Rouwen Rivlin.

That evening, the Bulgarian premier will meet members of the Bulgarian Jewish community at the Bulgarian Embassy in Tel Aviv.

On the second day of the official visit, Boris Borisov is scheduled to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
