The Bulgarian SPA hotels' sales have gone up by 6% from the beginning of May until the end of August 2009.
The data was released Monday through statistics of the tour agency Retour Bulgaria.
The SPA resort Velingrad is the leader in SPA sales and due to its successful advertising campaign has registered a jump of 177% compared to the summer of 2008.
Devin holds the second place while Sandanski is third. There is also a registered significant interest in the SPA packages of the Black Sea resort of Pomorie.
Among the winter resorts, Pamporovo holds the lead in total SPA sales, but there is a 40% decrease compared to 2008. Bansko is second with a 1% increase and Borovets is third with a significant decrease of 70%.
Statistics further show that the top sellers are the weekend SPA packages.
