‘Eastern Plays’, directed by Bulgarian Kamen Kalev, was presented with the Young Jury Award for Best International Film at the 46th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival late Sunday.
The film was presented as a joint Bulgarian-Swedish production on the final night of the Festival. Turkish actress, Hatidzhe Aslan, who stars in the film was also awarded.
Though this year wasn’t as surprising as previous years, one movie’s sweep of five awards surprised some. “Bornava Bornava,” ?nan Temelkuran’s second feature film, was presented with the Cinema Critics Association’s best national, best editing, best actor, best actress and best film awards..
Maybe Temelkuran and critics weren’t expecting the best film award to go to “Bornava Bornava,” but it wasn’t a surprise to anyone that the award was shared byReha Erdem for his film “Kosmos.”
