`MR. SAXE-COBURG` RECEIVED PM MANDATE

President Peter Stoyanov offcially delivered to Simeon II, leader of the Simeon II National Movement, a mandate to form a government on Sunday. `Mr. Saxe-Coburg, by this decree I assign you in your capacity as nominee for the premiership of the largest parliamentary group to form the next Bulgarian government and I wish you success,` Stoyanov said, quoted by Bulgarian Press Agency. Now The King has one week to inform the President if he is ready with the structure and composition of the next cabinet. Upon successful completion of the mandate, it will be returned to Stoyanov at 4pm on July 22, king`s parliamentary leader Plamen Panayotov told journalists. Then the President will issue a decree proposing to the National Assembly to elect Simeon Saxe-Coburg, 64, prime minister of Bulgaria. On July 24 Parliament will hold an extraordinary sitting to put to the vote the government`s structure and composition. The SNM holds 120 seats in the 240-seat Parliament. Answering a question after the meeting, Simeon Saxe-Coburg said he hoped the United Democratic Forces would participate in the government, which was the purpose of the negotiations with the second-largest coalition in Parliament.
