Interior Minister and Deputy PM, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, has stated that the new GERB Ministers had stumbled upon infringements by the previous government during department check-ups.
Tsvetanov spoke regarding Thursday's reports that Former Bulgaria PM, Sergey Stanishev, was presented documents from DANS regarding corruption in high echelons of power, but hid the information.
He stated that if such documents exist, either former ministers concealed them, or it is just speculation. He added that it would be even more serious if the former prime minister did not taken the necessary action if he knew about the report.
Tsvetanov concluded that the matter was a case for the Prosecutor's office.
On Thursday Yane Yanev, the leader of the conservative Order, Law and Justice (RZS) party and former Bulgaria State National Security Agency (DANS) adviser, Alexey Petrov, both reported that Stanishev had been informed about corruption amongst his Ministers but had not acted.
Socialist BSP leader Stanishev, refuted the claims stating that he had never seen such documents and would happily take part in any investigation on the matter.
