Former Bulgaria PM, Sergey Stanishev, was presented documents from DANS regarding corruption in high echelons of power, but hid the information, RZS leader Yane Yanev stated Thursday.
Yanev, who is the chairman of the parliamentary commission for fighting corruption, spoke at the same time as former Bulgaria State National Security Agency (DANS) adviser, Alexey Petrov, was revealing similar information in an interview for Trud newspaper.
According to Yanev, the leader of the conservative Order, Law and Justice (RZS) party, it is likely one of the hidden documents contains information related to the brother of Stanishev and incriminates the former PM himself. The Chairman of the Committee for control of DANS, Ivan Kostov, however said that it is very unlikely that this report exists.
Yanev concluded; "We have a total collapse of the state in all spheres and policies without exception. GERB is not omnipotent force that in one month can solve everything."
Stanishev's party, the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), refuted the claims and informed that no such DANS signals regarding Ministers being involved in corruption had been received by the former PM.
