Kostov stressed that the case is in the process of declassification and according to him today after hearing the new President of the SANS Tsvetlin Yovchev the commission is not there it became clear signature of the then interior minister to activate the trial.
The next meeting of the parliamentary commission will be held in the DANS headquarters and Kostov stated that it will become clearer how the case will be declassified after the second meeting.
The "Galeria" case will be declassified on the basis of the Protection of Classified Information Act.
A scandal broke out about the case when members of the internal DANS committee leaked phone tapping information about people who were being investigated.
Ultimately, DANS acknowledged that the "Galeria" investigation had been diverted from its original targets.
The "Galeria" case was initiated because of a suspected leak of classified information by DANS. The investigation aimed primarily to trace the contacts of journalists with people from political circles and inside the Bulgarian secret service.
In addition, however, the investigation is thought to have delved into the lives of journalists from almost all national medias and a large number of MPs.
