The supermoto race in Dolna Mitropoliya was canceled after the death of Marian Tsankov, a 36-year-old competitor.

Tsankov from Gabrovo crashed at around 13:50 on the track and was taken to hospital in Pleven where he was announced to have died.

The local police informed that there was also another serious crash in Pleven at around the same time, in which a 22-year-old man was killed in his BMW.

The interior Ministry informed that there have been 33 serious accidents over the last 24 hours on Bulgaria's roads, with six people dead and 35 seriously injured.
