Over 57% of the Bulgarians do not visit a dentist on a regular basis, a recent study of the dental hygiene in Bulgaria reveals.

Dr. Boyko Bonev, who took part in the study, announced that 10% of all Bulgarians never or hardly ever brush their teeth, and 6% do so once every few days.

The first dental hygiene study in Bulgaria in the last 20 years reveals also that each Bulgarian has an average of 17 teeth that are affected by cavity.

The study also shows that 30% of the respondents are afraid of going to the dentist.
