Bulgaria Interior Sends Inspectorate Director into Retirement: Bulgaria Interior Sends Inspectorate Director into Retirement Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, asked Tuesday the Director of the Inspectorate at the Interior Ministry to retire and named the new Head of the Psychology Institute at the Ministry. The Director of the Inspectorate at the Interior Ministry, Nikolay Spassov, has been asked to retire Tuesday.

The news was confirmed by Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, who explained the early retirement was necessary over the unsatisfactory results of the Inspectorate's work, adding the Inspectorate needed to respond better to the public's expectations.

Tsvetanov said he had already spoken with someone who has been a "Bulgarian State representative aboard" to eventually replace Spassov, but declined to offer a name.

Also on Tuesday, the Interior Minister named Nedelcho Stoev as the new Head of the Psychology Institute at the Ministry.
