Two thirds of Bulgarians approve of the first moves of the country's new Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov.
The information is revealed through a poll conducted by the National Center for Study of Public Opinion (NZIOM) and was reported Tuesday by its Director, Lydia Iordanova, who spoke for the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).
Iordanova said that the new cabinet has a truly impressive vote of confidence on the part of the society.
"We are talking about a high rate of approval among all different social groups, and especially among the elite, the highly educated people, people with high standard of living. This shows that for the elite groups that really form and influence the public opinion there isn't an alternative to the PM we have now," Iordanova commented.
The formal Chair of the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, (GERB) party and now Deputy PM and Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, has doubled his public support just over a month, according to the poll's respondents.
Iordanova did, however, point out that sociologists must consider if there is indeed an informed public opinion allowing to accurately measure the assessment of the new faces in politics and their first moves.
The poll further reveals that 64% are pleased with the results of the July 5 general elections and only 20% express discontent with the majority of satisfied people being under the age of 60.
Two thirds of the young people said they were really pleased by the elections results - an unprecedented rate of satisfaction never registered before in the last 20 years.
