The parliamentary Budget Committee revoked Monday the appointment of the Deputy Governor of Bulgaria's Central bank (BNB), Nikolay Nenovski.

The decision is yet to be passed by the Parliament when it reconvenes.

The proposal to revoke the appointment has been submitted by the Member of the Parliament from the ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party, Menda Stoyanova, with the motif that Nenovski who is also the Head of the Bank's "Emissions" department, has been appointed before the expiration of the term of his predecessor, Tsvetan Manchev.

Stoyanova pointed out that the term of the bank's Governor, Ivan Iskrov, has been also extended before the expiration of the old one.
