The number of tourists who visited Bulgaria's mountain resort Pamporovo in summer 2009 so far is 30% smaller than in 2008.

The news was announced Monday by the Regional Tourism Association "Rhodoppe".

Pamporovo, one of Bulgaria's top mountain resort complexes, has a total of 16 000 beds but at the present moment only about 2 500 of them are occupied.

The number of holidaymakers at Parmporovo is expected to increase in August, which is usually the peak month for summer tourism there.
