Ex Bulgaria Finance Minister Doubts New Govt's Crisis Plans: Ex Bulgaria Finance Minister Doubts New Govt's Crisis Plans

Ex Bulgaria Finance Minister, Plamen Oresharski, has stated that he doubts that the new GERB government can cope with the global financial crisis.

Coalition for Bulgaria MP Oresharski stated that Bulgaria has only been able to cope with the global financial crisis because of the last government's clever fiscal policies and anti-crisis measures.

Oresharski added that Bulgaria has coped much better with the crisis than most other EU countries due to the Coalition for Bulgaria's handling of the economy. He urged the new GERB government to use the same type of economic policies.

He criticized Borisov and his cabinet for not having put forward any anti-crisis measures and for not having any new ideas.

Oresharski concluded by saying that he hoped the new government would be able to lessen the effects of the crisis but stated that he was skeptical regarding their ability.
