The Bulgarian rightist Blue Coalition will abstain from voting for the cabinet proposed by the future Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov.

The Blue Coalition will either not participate or vote as abstained during the special session of the National Assembly on Monday, July 27, Darik Radio reported.

The reason for the decision is the nomination of Bozhidar Dimitrov for Minister without Portfolio, even though it became clear he was collaborating with the communist State Security.

Martin Dimitrov, one of the leaders of the Blue Coalition, said Thursday, after PM-to-be, Boyko Borisov, announced the nominations for the new Bulgarian cabinet, that it was the Blue Coalition proposition collaborators of the so called former State Security not to be allowed to assume key posts in Parliament.

In June 2009 it became clear that Bozhidar Dimitrov had collaborated with the State Security, the intelligence and secret police during the communist regime.

He was though to be appointed as the Chair of the Parliament Committee on Culture, but after the Blue Coalition's proposal was passed, that was impossible.

Whether the rightist coalition will vote or not will become clear on Monday after a meeting of parliamentary group, just before the National Assembly session.

However, they will vote in favor of the Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, and the structural changes in the Council of Minister.

Even without the 15 votes of the Blue Coalition, Borisov's cabinet will pass, because it has the support of the far-right Ataka, and Yane Yanev's party Law, Order, Justice (RZS). Combined with the GERB votes, they will all collect 146 which is enough, as 121 votes are needed to pass the proposal.
