Allegations of irregularities in the vote procedures in Turkey during Bulgaria's recent general elections will be taken to the Constitutional Court, prosecutors said on Wednesday.

The move follows a tip-off from the conservative Order, Law and Justice party, which claims that the election of seven members of parliament of their arch enemy, the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms, is illegal.

According to the allegation the voting in neighboring Turkey breached a number of rules.

The conservative party demanded that the court check whether the voters who cast their ballot in Turkey voted once again in Bulgaria as well.

Bulgaria-born migrants to Turkey, the core voters for the ethnic party, left the country during the so-called "regeneration process" at the end of the 80s, when ethnic Turks were forced to adopt Bulgarian names, prompting their mass exodus.
