The Bulgarian Industrial Associations (BIA) demands that the electricity prices effective from July 1 be decreased.
The association states that the price increase, confirmed by the Bulgarian State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (DKEVR) last week, is unreasonable and not backed by arguments.
Moreover, the business clients prices approved by DKEVR are higher than those presented during the public discussions.
Thus, clients of the electric company CEZ using medium voltage will not pay 2,39% less, but the decrease is only by 0,11%.
Business client will also pay by 0,79% more for consumed low voltage electricity.
EVN decreases its price for daytime electricity by 3,91%, but the price for night electricity goes up by 10,49%.
Business clients of the electric company E.ON will pay 2,58% more.
According to BIA there is a tendency to decrease electricity prices for households, and on that ground to increase these for other users.
In their words, only an establishment of a free electricity market may lead to liberalization of prices, and complete transparency.
