Over 153 00 Bulgarian immigrants in Spain have been affected badly by the effects of the global financial and economic crisis.

This has been announced by Yosif Davidov, the publisher of the Bulgarian newspaper in Spain, "Nova Duma", who pointed out that many of the Bulgarian immigrants have lost their employment.

Davidov also told the Bulgarian National Radio Saturday that the Bulgarian immigrants who had arrived to Spain recently, had bore the brunt of the crisis. So had those working in the construction sector.

Davidov stressed that a large number of the Bulgarian laborers worked illegally or without labor contract, which meant that they were not entitled to unemployment benefits from the Spanish government.
