The results from the checkup of the pedophile scandal at Sofia's Ecclesiastical School will be revealed some time next week.
The information was reported Friday by the spokesperson of Bulgaria's Holy Synod: the Ruse Metropolitan Neophyte.
The Rector of the School, where male students between 13 and 18 years of age receive theological education, Bishop Sionii, was recently accused by two of them in fornication.
Three bishops are in charge of the checkup that will establish if the two 17-year-old students' accusations are true or made up.
The bishops have already spoken to the students' parents, teachers and employees at the school and the Synod say that so far they have no proof the Rector is guilty.
The scandal broke at the end of May. Bishop Sionii denies the accusations and claims they were concocted to blackmail him to rent part of the school's yard. He claims he received two proposals - to loan the land for the construction of a hotel and of a mall.
